You'd think a girl would be more prepared for New York Fashion Week the second time around. Last year, I had Lindsey to make the calls and plan our events and all I had to do was show up (grateful eternally, Lindsey!). This year, I took matters into my own, procrastinating hands and it made for somewhat of a hectic frenzy right up until my flight.
Luckily, The Cosmopolitan hotel in TriBeCa came to my rescue with an open room Friday and Saturday night. Although this was my third time to the city, TriBeCa was an area unexplored for me. The moment my little yellow cab turned onto Duane Street, I fell in love.
If it's your first time in TriBeCa or even your first time in New York, I can't suggest this location enough. On the corner of Broadway and Chambers, I was just a short walk from the Freedom Tower and 9/11 memorial (go close to seven in the morning...the eerie silence instilled the best kind of reverence) and my favorite new Manhattan coffee shop, Laughing Man. Best espresso I've had since Italy!
Huge thanks to The Cosmopolitan and Triumph Hotels for putting me up. I can't imagine my trip without you and can't wait to stay on my next trek to Manhattan. I have a few more outfit posts from my time in the city, so keep checking back! And thanks for all the birthday wishes on social media yesterday. You all are the best.
