Minneapolis Fashion Week
This is Fashion Week here in Minneapolis--it has been a blast attending the shows and events that this city has to offer!
Last night, Atlanta transplant Lindsey Hopkins showed her collection inspired by a vintage photograph she found and created her fabric prints from--fell in love with this pleated fan-shaped dress!
Christopher Straub was clearly a crowd favorite before his collection even went down the runway--high expectations! A blogger with a press pass evidently translates to front row seats, which always feels pretty cool. Especially after you are forced to ride a city bus to the show...
Straub did not disappoint with this dazzling party of a finale gown! Lindsey and I got to chat with him after the show, and the dress took over fifty hours to sew. Each ruffle is a square of fabric that was individually folded and sewn on.
Everyone clearly loved Straub's handbags--they add a great touch of luxe and glam to everyday wear. But my favorite bit of the show was this full-length, python faux-leather dress. I think I remember tapping Lindsey excitedly to make sure she was seeing what I was seeing...
I love having this girl as my date for MSPFW, and I'm so proud of Minneapolis in general for having a great + growing fashion scene. It impresses me more and more each season, on top of being just a big party and a fun time.
