Hair Tutorial: Messy Crossover Pony
I always like the idea of wearing my hair up, but I hate feeling like whatever style I throw it into will fall out at the slightest turn of my head. I like my hairstyles to feel secure, and most updos call for a zillion bobby pins, which tend to slip and slide after an hour or two in my hair. This loose, casual style was the answer to my low-pony prayers when I was planning a hair look for the Age of Adaline red carpet premiere in New York (see my full look here!). It didn't move an inch all night. Here's how I did it!
Tools:
- Morroccanoil's new dry shampoo: it comes in two shades, one for light-toned hair and one for dark tones. Smells amazing and leaves your hair soft and shiny!
- 1.5 inch curling wand
- Teasing brush if you want more volume--the messier the better.
Let me know if you guys try it, and be sure to tag me @truelane on Instagram or Twitter so I can see your photos!
